{You didn't think I'd forget, did you??}
oh, my love please don't cry i'll wash my bloody hands and we'll start a new life
i ripped out his throat and called you on the telephone to take off my disguise just in time to hear you cry
when you, you mourn the death of your bloody valentine the night he died you mourn the death of your bloody valentine one last time
singing, oh, my love please don't cry i'll wash my bloody hands and we'll start a new life
i don't know much at all i don't know wrong from right all i know is that i love you tonight
there were police and flashing lights the rain came down so hard that night and the headlines read "a lover died" no tell-tale heart was left to find
when you, you mourn the death of your bloody valentine the night he died you mourn the death of your bloody valentine one last time
singing, oh, my love please don't cry i'll wash my bloody hands and we'll start a new life
i don't know much at all i don't know wrong from right all i know is that i love you tonight
tonight he dropped you off i followed him home then i, stood outside his bedroom window standing over him, he begged me not to do, what i knew i had to do cause i'm so in love with you
oh, my love please don't cry i'll wash my bloody hands and we'll start a new life
i don't know much at all i don't know wrong from right all i know is that i love you tonight tonight |

as of august 22, my internship here in ohio is officially over.
however, many of the people here (that i work with, stay with, attend SEED group with...) have been trying to convince me to stay.
so here's the dilemma: move to ohio (which would involve finding a paying job and a place to live); move back to illinois (again, need a job and place to live); or go a different direction altogether...
moving to australia is still not looking too bright at the moment, but not altogether out of the picture, either. i am possibly planning a trip there for next spring (their autumn).
just thought you might like to know...
oh yeah, and i am trying to get more photos of the guys skating. but action shots in the dusty skate park is kinda hard to do. |

~Monday: staff meeting and cleaning day. Monday evenings, 5pm, Faith & Film study, where we watch a movie and then discuss. Open to any youth that want to come.
~Tuesday: Warehouse open 4-10pm; July 17th, King's Island trip.
~Closed Wednesday.

~Every Friday is movie night; on Friday the 13th we are having I-Scream Night, where we will be watching old-skool horror movies and making ice cream sundaes. Open 4-midnight every Friday.

Twice a month on Friday or Saturday we have concerts, bringing in four or five bands. At the end of July a Guitar Hero Tournament is scheduled. Loads more this summer, so it'll be busy...but fun!

Hey everyone--
I have a super-important prayer request for you, if you would be so kind as to remember it.
Jean and Eddie, some friends of mine in Brisbane, Australia, lost their unborn baby boy last week. On the day Jean was scheduled to deliver, something happened (no one knows what, yet) and the baby died. This is extremely tough for them and their other three kids as well.
Please pray for peace for the family, especially Jean, and that they will be able to accept and grieve appropriately what happened. Thanks so much everyone.

o-hi-o-hio...whats round at the ends and HIIIII in the middle...
alrighty, everyone, are you ready for my big news? too bad if you're not, because i am making it known...
this summer for ten weeks i will be working in ohio. technically it is an internship at a place called "the warehouse", but i am getting paid and have free housing/meals.
"the warehouse" is a non-profit venue that brings in local and underground bands for concerts, runs a skate park/skate shop, and has an art gallery for local artists to display their work. located in washington court house, ohio, "the warehouse" is kinda like a mentoring place, but not really. basically they give teens a place to hang out with positive role models, giving them something constructive to do.
does this sound like me or what?? i am extremely excited about it and actually cannot wait to get over there. you can visit their myspace at www.myspace.com/thewarehousescene . check it out! :-)
oh, yes, and in equally exciting news: i am the proud owner of JTHM: Directors Cut and the album "Please Come Home" by Dustin Kensrue of Thrice fame. awww, yeah. |

They're black, they're brown, they're up, they're down; They're in, they're out, they're all about; They're far, they're near, they're gone, they're here; They're quick and slick and insincere; Beware, Beware, Be a very wary bear!
A Heffalump or Woozle is very confusel. The Heffalump or woosel's very sly - sly - sly - sly! They come in ones and twoosels, but if they so choosels, before your eyes you'll see them multiply - ply - ply - ply!
They're extra-ordinary so better be wary, Because they come in every shape and size - size - size - size!
If honey's what you covet, you'll find that they love it; Because they guzzle up the thing you prize!
They're green, they're blue, they're pink, they're white. They're round, they're square, they're a terrible sight! They tie themselves in horrible knots; They come in stripes or polka-dots.
Beware, Beware, Be a very wary bear!
(musical interlude)
They're extra-ordinary so better be wary, Because they come in every shape and size - size - size - size!
If honey's what you covet, you'll find that they love it; Because they guzzle up the things you prize!
They're black, they're brown, they're up, their down; They're in, they're out, they're all about; They're far, they're near, they're gone, they're here; They're quick and slick and insincere Beware, Beware, Beware, Beware, Beware .... !!!

so i was driving to work this afternoon. i had a couple stops to make before heading that way, so i was driving up state street toward second street when i saw something skitter into the road. my first reaction was that the object was a piece of paper or a leaf, due to the flatness and wobbly motion of it.
however, upon driving closer, i notice that *gasp* this thing is a creature. and not just any creature, its a turtle!! yes, a painted turtle wandering across the street in town. not wanting to hit the poor thing, i swerved quickly once i realized what it was and pulled into a parking lot.
i glanced back, but to my horror did not see the turtle anywhere. oh great, i squished it, i thought. but i ventured out of my vehicle to inspect the scene. to my relief i discovered the poor turtle attempting to scramble up the curb into a yard. i scooped the creature up and took him to my car, because i did not want him getting crushed or tortured.
i set him gently in the floorboard of my explorer and made sure he could not squeeze into any small crevices down there. then i took off for the park.
once parked by the playground, i grabbed the confused turtle and carried him over to the lagoon. upon setting him half-way down the bank, he proceeded to quickly scoot down into the water.
huzzah! the world is a better place now and that little turtle will no longer have to cross a dangerous road!
in other less-exciting news: i am now eligible to substitute teach; i am officially part-time at kv; and i might be visiting olivet this week.
a distant cousin of the turtle i rescued:

upon the recommendation of a good friend, i watched the movie "brick".
and it was very good.
go see this movie. it seems low-budgetish, but that is precisely the point. at times the pace is slow, but it's supposed to be. all around, a very good movie. i want very much to see it again.
i shall have to purchase it, methinks. |

could you all please pray for one of my girls in my cottage and her mom? the mom has pancreatic cancer, and had surgery yesterday to remove her pancreas and some tumors. she made it through that surgery alright, but late last night there was some internal bleeding, so the doctors had to go in and stop the bleeding. from what we know, she was stable last night but things were still unclear. my girl is going up to visit her family today, which is good. but if you would, keep in mind the entire family, especially the mom? thanks so much. |

i'm feeling kind of shaky and twitchy. it feels like something bad is going to happen. i hope it's just low blood-sugar; i should eat something.
my mom and sister went shopping today, and now my sister has the makings of an emo outfit: slim jeans, black chucks (chuck imposters), black 'happy bunny' hoodie...of course, she has no idea what 'emo' is and was even more confused when i tried to explain the genre to her. i ended up likening an emo kid to strong sad.
...speaking of emo...
"i wish my grass was emo, then it would cut itself." --said by a kemmerer village admin worker, doing a wellness survey on one of the girls in my cottage. i don't know about you, but that comment really disturbs me. it's a good thing my girl is mature and has conquered her cutting-past, because that could really be taken the wrong way.
quick, look what i found! it's the first of the season! that bunny is really on top of things this year...mmmmmm....gooey, gooey ( eggs... ) |
